Spare a little change, fellow wanderer?

I’m no cryptobro but this is just the Internet way I suppose. These are rough times, so anything sent would be massively appreciated. If you can’t, don’t feel pressured to, I appreciate you opening this page.

Monero (XMR):
8C62ZLrUYyJMXb5ZGb5kgcAuBc51GJk7z2TojZsZ7a7LKL1CZXvs7V8RSWHCh7JeDTLRaPR7yVTwUFEt83tQQ8tw9Qa6Q3X

In a sea of chaos, the Internet wanderer cuts through the nonsense…er, you’ve chosen quite the dull blade, but this blogroll should at least not contain all slop.

Proof of humanity’s existence on the Internet. Not ranked in any particular order, and doesn’t necessarily share my opinion.

Disil’s Stuff – I emailed this guy over a typo. Still in touch. Writes his mind out, and has 7…SEVEN?! years’ worth of posts on a variety of things.

Life is a joke, so laugh

I’ve been told some number of times that I act calmly when I face problems. I don’t, but I do make it a point to laugh at said problems as I deal with them.

‘Laughing in the face of adversity’ is a somewhat common phrase that people would probably dismiss as another platitude, along with other phrases of the same tune, but I do like it.

I’m not at all telling you to go full on happy-go-lucky, no. It’s just that…once you’ve given up on something, that’s effectively the end of the line. You’ve locked yourself out. You’ve sealed your fate by declaring to yourself, ‘There is no point, therefore I will stop.’

On sounding smart in blog posts

Somehow, my perception of blogs and blog posts has shifted to something along the lines of ‘having something smart to say that will benefit anyone’. Because of this, I’ve written many things and scrapped them by the third sentence or so.

Perhaps it’s because I’ve read too many of those SEO blog posts. It could also be that a portion of tech (and other) issues I’ve faced have been solved by reading a post on someone’s personal blog, written by someone much, much more competent than I am.

Perhaps it's less wandering than it is drifting

The wanderer’s talk with the traveller echoed in his dreams. Floating in the silent waters, their paths had crossed in that brief moment.

═══════

It’s funny how they come and go.

In this life, nobody leaves. They just float away.

Nobody likes listening to clichés like ‘Live in the moment’ or ‘Nothing lasts forever’, but they’re true. They only stay for a little while, then they drift away…or I drift away.

Who I am doesn’t really matter. You can decide for yourself how to think of Ivy by reading the words on this site.

I’ve gone by a number of names. I’m quite fond of Ivy, however.

You may send an e-mail if you wish, at the address on the front page. You can also find Ivy on the Fediverse at Misskey.id (@ivy@misskey.id) and Ivy’s Bivy (@ivy@b.ivy.my.id).
